Aaaawww . . . the Packers just lost. It was a close game right at the end. Kristy and Bryan went to the game so Sawyer and I babysat Andi. Sawyer really likes watching Andi. He helped her play toys, helped her practice rolling over, sang her songs and brushed her hair. We always enjoy having [...]

A Very Thankful Thanksgiving
Posted in Everyday Stuff on November 26, 2008 | 5 Comments »
Peter and I will be having a very thankful Thanksgiving holiday. We had a 27 week ultra sound on Tuesday and the results where very good! The ultra sound did not show any signs of birth defects. We also measured her brain again for down syndrome and everything looked normal. The doctor said that ultra [...]
Sooooo Gross!

Peter is in the kitchen right now cutting up the doe that he shot on Saturday. It is really disgusting. It also smells bad. When Peter is finished cutting up the deer, he better clean the blood up really, really good. He also has to buy me a new cake pan because he is putting [...]

Sawyer’s New Room

Tonight will be Sawyer’s first night in his new room. We did a Disney Cars theme. The room setup actually went a lot more quickly than I had thought it would. Instead of slowly clearing all of the stuff out of the guest bedroom and putting it away somewhere else, I just temporarily relocated everything [...]
Just Like Mommy . . . Just Like Daddy

I really enjoy watching Sawyer grow and seeing traits that he has inherited from both his Mommy and Daddy. For example, Sawyer is very ticklish. He gets this from his father. Peter is the most ticklish person I’ve ever met. The slightest little touch and Peter pulls away because it ‘tickled.’ He doesn’t even enjoy a [...]
6 Month Doctor’s Appt.

My six month doctor appointment was good. The baby’s heart beat was 160 (which is good) and I am measuring at 25 weeks (which is right on). I got a flu shot even though it didn’t keep me from getting the flu three times last winter. We’ll see how it goes this time.
My doctor has [...]
25 Weeks!

My little Emma Em is 25 weeks old today. With each passing hour, I get more and more excited to meet her . . . especially when she is moving around and kicking. I wonder what she will look like? I wonder what her personality will be like?
I have my 6 month doctor appointment tomorrow [...]
Children’s Gift Boxes
Posted in Everyday Stuff on November 12, 2008 | 1 Comment »
Every year, our church collects shoe boxes filled w/ children’s toys and hygiene products to be shipped overseas to under privileged children. Typically, this is a project for the youth . . . they are supposed to help their parent’s choose the gifts to put in the boxes. Even though Sawyer is still young and doesn’t [...]
Terrible Twos
Posted in Everyday Stuff on November 11, 2008 | 6 Comments »
Peter and I just suffered through a ‘Terrible Twos’ weekend. Sawyer was extremely stubborn, cranky and completely unwilling to be happy the entire weekend. Everything we did (getting dressed, eating, going potty on the toilet, playing toys, etc.) was a major temper tantrum. I don’t know what his problem was . . . maybe he [...]
